Opegrapha vulgata - Mount Hill

On our previous FLAG outing to Mount Hill, Vlad took a sample of a lirellate lichen to study at home, He has written back with some information and photos about his findings, as below.  Well done and many thanks to Vlad for submitting this.

"I just got round to looking at samples from Mount Hill. One of them keys out as O vulgata, on the basis of  lirellae not widely opened and size +the number of septa in the spores"

This may be a one off. I'm afraid I often start these things and never continue, but I have had the notion to write a blog about our FLAG adventures (that's Fife Lichen Appreciation Group to the uninitiated). Let's see how long it lasts.
